
Corey Ruff embarks on his third season as the Lindsey Wilson College wrestling coach in 2011-12.
Ruff is the only head coach in the wrestling program's brief history.
In his short tenure, Ruff has taken the Blue Raiders to national prominence. Lindsey Wilson earned the program's first national ranking during the 2010-11 season and finished 15th at the 2011 NAIA National Championships.
In his two seasons, Ruff has coached 24 grapplers at the NAIA National Championships. His overall dual record is 10-12 in two seasons.
Last season, a pair of Blue Raiders became the first NAIA All-Americans in the program's history. In addition to coaching two All-Americans, Ruff has coached five all Mid-South Conference performers.
Prior to starting the program at Lindsey Wilson, Ruff served as assistant coach at Ellsworth Community College for two seasons. He was also a member of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse's coaching staff from 2003-06.
During his time at Ellsworth and Wisconsin-La Crosse, Ruff helped coach four national champions, 24 All-Americans, 19 regional champions and 40 national qualifiers.
While at Wisconsin-La Crosse, Ruff helped the team improve its national tournament finish each of the three seasons he was on staff. In 2004-05, UW-La Crosse finished as national runner-up in the NCAA Division III National Championships.
At Ellsworth, Ruff helped the team to a fifth-place finish in 2007-08.
Before his collegiate coaching career, Ruff spent four years as the assistant coach at Arcadia High School in Wisconsin. While at Arcadia he led the strength and conditioning program and assisted in all other aspects of the team.

Abe Cross begins his third season as assistant coach with the Lindsey Wilson College wrestling program.
In addition to serving as the Blue Raiders assistant coach, Cross is also in charge of the Lindsey Wilson Champions of Character initiative.
Cross has helped build the Lindsey Wilson program from scratch. Last season, he helped coach a pair of NAIA All-Americans and two all Mid-South Conference performers.
Prior to Lindsey Wilson, Cross served as assistant coach at Lowell High School in Michigan. He helped Lowell earn the 2009 Division II Michigan State Championship and coached seven all-state selections.
Cross has served as coach for a number of club programs, including the Red Arrow Wrestling Club in 2008-09 and Team Michigan Gold in 2007. Cross was a volunteer coach for the Perry Wrestling Club in 2003-04.
Cross wrestled collegiately at Michigan State University where he was a three-time letter winner and Academic All-Big Ten selection.
At Perry High School, Cross was a two time All-State team member and set the school record for takedowns in a single season.
Cross graduated from Michigan State in 2008 and earned his master's degree from Michigan State in 2010.

Curtis Schurkamp begins his first season in 2011-12 as an assistant wrestling coach at Lindsey Wilson College.
The Sacramento, Calif., native is a two-time NCAA Div. II All-American at San Francisco State University where he wrestled for two seasons before transferring to NCAA Div. 1 California State University-Fullerton.
At San Francisco State he was the team captain, team MVP and Athlete of the Year at the school in 2008.
A 2010 graduate of Fullerton with a degree in Consumer and Family Sciences, Schurkamp also earned certificates in Lifestyle and Weight Management, Kids Nutrition and Food Safety.
With his wealth of experience, combined with being diagnosed with diabetes while ranked No. 1 in the nation, Schurkamp drew a lot of attention from parents around the world, leading him to found EatLikeAChamp.com.
His mission with the site is to enhance the quality of life for clients around the nation and help educate, empower and motivate people to create a lifestyle that will generate longevity and vitality.
Schurkamp has also worked as a nutritionist for UFC fighter Urijah Faber.
