COLUMBIA, Ky. – The fall schedule for the upcoming 2017-18 Lindsey Wilson cycling season was released by head coach Charles Mooney on Wednesday.
Seven mountain bike events and one track event are on the slate during the opening three months of the season, including a pair of national championship races.
The season begins on Aug. 26-27 with a mountain bike race down at Auburn (Ala.) University. A pair of mountain bike events in North Carolina is up next as the Blue Raiders head to Brevard College on Sept. 2-3, followed by a trip to Banner Elk, North Carolina for the Lees-McRae College race on Sept. 9-10.
A few days later comes the lone track event of the season, the USA Cycling Track National Championship in Indianapolis, Indiana on Sept. 14-16. At last year's championships, the Blue Raiders placed seventh.
Mountain bike action resumes on Sept. 23-24 in Atlanta, Georgia with the Georgia Tech race. Cycling action descends upon Columbia on Sept. 30 - Oct. 1 when the Blue Raiders host their home mountain bike race.
October begins with the King University mountain bike race on Oct. 7-8 in Bristol, Tennessee, followed by the USA Cycling Mountain Bike National Championship from Oct. 20-22 in Missoula, Montana.
