Blue Raiders travel to the MSC Championships this weekend

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Lindsey Wilson College wrestling remained at No. 6 this week in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Wresting Coaches' Top-20 Poll, released on Wednesday by the NAIA.

The Blue Raiders spend their second straight rating period at No. 6 after receiving 55 team points from the national raters.

Six Lindsey Wilson grapplers are among those individuals ranked it the top-12 of their respective weight class.

Lindsey Wilson sophomore Ian Stephens is the top Blue Raider grappler. Stephens -- who is 28-1 this season -- is second in the NAIA at 174 pounds.

DaMonte Riley (141 pounds), Charlie Pingleton (157) and Derek Nickel (285) are all ranked sixth in their weight class while Keith Klink (133) and Jacob Bradford (197) are seventh and eighth respectively in their class.

Grand View (Iowa) University is No. 1 in the poll with 129 team points. Southern Oregon University (107.5 team points) and Campbellsville (Ky.) University (105) are second and third in the poll.

The next national ranking is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, Feb. 8.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 28 as the Blue Raiders compete in the Mid-South Conference Championships in Williamsburg, Ky.
