Spreen averaged 21.5 points per game last week.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College's Chase Spreen is the Mid-South Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

The weekly conference award is Spreen's second straight and the second of his career. In addition to earning the conference award last week, Spreen is the reigning NAIA National Player of the Week.

Spreen averaged 21.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game last week while leading the Blue Raiders to two road wins over Campbellsville University and St. Catharine College.

The Bedford, Ind., senior guard opened his week on Thursday with 16 points and five rebounds in Lindsey Wilson's 71-65 win over the No. 20-ranked Tigers.

On Saturday, Spreen scored 27 points in the Blue Raiders' 86-80 win at St. Catharine. In addition to his scoring, Spreen had four rebounds, three steals and two assists.

For the week, Spreen made 11-of-22 from the field, including four for six from three-point range. He connected on 17 of his 19 free throws during the week.

Spreen ranks in the conference's top-10 in five different statistical categories. He leads the MSC in free throw shooting (84.0) and is fifth in scoring (16.9) and three-point field goal percentage (41.6).

No. 11-ranked Lindsey Wilson is 15-4 overall this season and is tied atop the in the MSC with a 7-1 conference record. The Blue Raiders travel to UVa.-Wise on Thursday and University of Pikeville on Saturday.
