MARION, Ind. -- Sophomore brothers Ricardo and Roberto Vergara finished in fifth and sixth place, respectively in the 5,000-meter race walk to give the Lindsey Wilson College men's track & field team a pair of All-Americans at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships on Friday.

Ricardo crossed the line in 24 minutes and 1.90 seconds, earning four team points, while Roberto finished in 24:24.32 to earn three points towards the team total.

With both race walkers finishing in the top eight, they are automatically honored as All-Americans at the national championships.

Roscoe Moore fell just short of his bid to qualify for the finals of the 100-meter dash. Moore finished 13th in the semifinals, while the top nine finishers held times that qualified for the finals.

Newcomer Jairus Kipkemoi qualified for Saturday's 5,000-meter run finals with a 13th-place finish in the preliminaries. Kipkemoi just made the cut as the top 16 finishes move on to Saturday's finals.

On Saturday, Kipkemoi rounded out the Blue Raider finishes in 14th place in the 5,000-meter finals. The freshman crossed the line in 15:33.49.
