COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Distance specialist Blake Hendricks joined the Lindsey Wilson College men's track & field 2010 recruiting class after signing to an NAIA scholarship, the school announced on Friday.
A native of Danville, Ky., Hendricks competes primarily in the 800- and 1,600-meter races.
Hendricks recently finished first in the 800-meter run at the CKC Championships with a time of two minutes and 1.71 seconds on May 24. Hendricks finished fifth in the 1,600-meter race at the same event with a time of 4:48.02.
While competing for Boyle Co. High School, Hendricks has clocked personal-best times of 2:01.21 in the 800-meter run and 4:42.80 in the 1,600-meter run.
Despite mainly being a middle-distance runner, Hendricks has also recorded a personal-best mark of 25.55 seconds in the 200-meter dash.
