RAPID CITY, S.D. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's golf team continued its assent up the NAIA National Championships' leaderboard climbing one spot to sixth after a 318 today at Meadowbrook Golf Course.

Three Blue Raiders posted sub-80 rounds today to give Lindsey Wilson a three-round team-total of 956 (322-316-318).

Lindsey Wilson senior Jessica Smith and junior Chelsey Key led the Blue Raiders with six-over par 78s. Freshman Kelsey Joslyn added a 79. Key and Joslyn's rounds were their best of the tournament.

Smith climbed five spots in the 128-woman tournament into a tie for 10th with a three-round total of 233 (79-76-78). Smith failed to birdie a hole for the first time in a round during nationals, but recorded 13 pars on the day -- the most in one round during the NAIAs.

Smith trails California Baptist University's Nathalie Silva's three-round total of 225 (74-76-75) by eight strokes entering Friday's final round.

Joslyn is tied for 39th overall after an up and down round on Thursday. Joslyn recorded three birdies -- including back-to-back birdies on No. 15 and 16 -- during the third round but also had four double bogeys. Joslyn has a three-day total of 240 (81-80-79).

Senior Cheslee Stone slipped back into a tie for 48th following an 83 on Thursday. Her three-day total is 244 (81-80-83).

Key and senior Krista Burton are tied for 59th overall.

Key recorded seven straight pars before recording her only birdie on the round on the par 4 third hole -- Lindsey Wilson started its third round on the back nine.

Burton failed to birdie during the round despite touching the hole on six different birdie putts en route to an 83.

Key (90-80-78) and Burton (81-84-83) are tied with 248s following the third round.

University of British Columbia leads the tournament by one stroke over defending national champion Oklahoma City University. UBC has a three-day total of 923 (301-311-311).

The Blue Raiders continue play on Friday at 1 p.m. MT at Meadowbrook.
