RAPID CITY, S.D. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's golf team shot a team-total of 316 on Wednesday to jump three spots into seventh place at the midway point of the NAIA National Championships at Meadowbrook Golf Course.

The Blue Raiders two-day total of 638 (322-316) is 28 strokes behind tournament leader Oklahoma City University's 610 (308-302). Lindsey Wilson is eight shots out of the top-five with two rounds remaining in the tournament.

Lindsey Wilson senior Jessica Smith continued to lead the Blue Raiders with a four-over par 76 in today's second round. Smith countered three double bogeys on the day with four birdies to finish in a tie for 15th in the 128-woman field with a 155 (79-76) total.

Three Blue Raiders carded eight-over par 80s on Wednesday.

Senior Cheslee Stone and freshman Kelsey Joslyn each jumped nine spots into a tie for 40th after producing second round 80s.

Stone carded three birdies on the day including birdies on the 2nd and 12th holes -- both par 3s. Joslyn produced just one birdie on the day -- on the par 4 6th hole -- and nine pars en route to her 80. The pair has a two-day total of 161.

Junior Chelsey Key shaved 10 strokes off her worst round of the season -- a 90 on Tuesday -- to fire an 80 on Wednesday. Key is tied for 76th with a two-day total of 170. Senior Krista Burton is tied for 57th overall with a 165 (81-84) after firing an 84 on Wednesday.

University of British Columbia's Alyssa Human (73-76) and Lubbock Christian (Texas) University's Anna Schopp (73-76) leads the tournament with 149s.

The Blue Raiders continue play in Thursday's third round at 2:50 p.m. CT at Meadowbrook.
