COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College volleyball head coach Heather Collins signed Audra McNabney to an NAIA Scholarship, the school announced on Tuesday.

A native of Murrieta, Calif., McNabney attends Vista Murrieta High School and plays volleyball for the 951 Elite Volleyball Club in Ternecula, Calif.

"Audra is a tremendous athlete who will step in and make an immediate impact," said Collins. "She has a true passion for volleyball which shows every time she steps onto the court."

The outside hitter is the team captain and team kill leader for 951 Elite. McNabney is excited to join the Blue Raiders after meeting Coach Collins and many of her future teammates on a visit to Columbia.

"Coach Collins is so nice and she made me excited to visit the campus," said McNabney. "The girls on the team made me feel comfortable right away, I fell in love with the whole atmosphere and can't wait to get started.

"I think my drive to win is the biggest thing I can add to the team. I can't stand losing, so I'm going to bring energy on the court, be loud and do whatever it takes not to lose."
