LWC women line up for today's team time trial.

MADISON, Wis. -- Lindsey Wilson College cycling finished the 2010 USA Cycling Collegiate Road Nationals 10th overall after competing in the Team Time Trial on Sunday.

The Blue Raiders conclude road nationals with 174 points over the three-day, three-event championships.

The Lindsey Wilson men scored points in all three events -- road race, criterium and team time trial -- while the women scored in the crit and time trial during nationals.

Today, the Lindsey Wilson men finished sixth in the team time trial to score 49 points while the women finished ninth to earn 34 points towards the team total. Today's results helped the Blue Raiders climb two spots into the top-10.

The men finished with a time of 38 minutes and 30.61 seconds over the 19.2-mile course. Marian (Ind.) College won today's 17-team event with a time of 36:23.44. The Blue Raider women concluded with a time of 47:24.84 in the 12-team field. Marian won the women's race with a time of 42:25.44.

With today's results, Marian captured the team championship with 459 points, while Lees-McRae (N.C.) College finished second with 428 points.

The conclusion of road nationals ends the Blue Raider cycling season. Lindsey Wilson finishes the 2009-10 season with a third place finish at Cyclocross Nationals, a fifth at Mountain Bike Nationals and a sixth at Track Nationals.

This is the first season in the program's history the LWC cycling program scored in each of the four disciplines during the year.
