Women's tennis captured a league-leading 11 MSC season honors prior to the NAIA Qualifying event.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Mid-South Conference announced its women's tennis all-conference teams in conjunction with the NAIA Qualifying Tournament which begins on Thursday at Georgetown College and Lindsey Wilson College earned 11 awards by four difference players and coach Bill Shook.

Lindsey Wilson sophomore Trina Slapeka and Campbellsville (Ky.) University freshman Anita Henestrosa are the MSC Co-Women's Tennis Player of the Year.

Slapeka was also an MSC First Team all-conference selection. The all-conference team was voted on by the conference coaches who were not allowed to vote for their own players.

In addition to Slapeka, Lindsey Wilson's Jessica Weyreuter and Slavica Milanovic were selected as first-team singles honorees.

Slapeka and Weyreuter were also selected first-team doubles by the league coaches.

The Blue Raiders' Agnieszka Wojowicz earned honorable mention all-conference singles and teamed with Milanovic to take honorable mention all-conference doubles honors as well.

Shook was voted on by his peers as the MSC Coach of the Year in his first season at the helm of the Blue Raider tennis programs.

Slapeka, Weyreuter and Wojowicz earned academic all-conference for maintaining at least a 3.25 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and being a sophomore or higher.
