Men's tennis looks to win back-to-back MSC Tournament Championships today in Georgetown, Ky.

GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- The 12th ranked Lindsey Wilson College men's tennis team begins its quest for a second straight Mid-South Conference Tournament Championship at 9 a.m. CT today against the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) at the Lackey Tennis Center.

The Blue Raiders earned the No. 1 seed after winning the MSC Regular Season Championship, while Cumberlands enters the postseason as the No. 4 seed.

Also being played at 9 a.m. is the other semifinal matchup between No. 2 seed Campbellsville (Ky.) University and No. 3 seed Georgetown (Ky.) College.

The finals will also be played today, with the winners of each semifinal advancing for a match at 1:30 p.m.

Lindsey Wilson finished the regular season with a 13-3 overall record and perfect 3-0 mark against MSC competition.

The Blue Raiders topped Cumberlands 8-1 on April 12 earlier this season, while also recording wins of 8-1 against Campbellsville and 8-1 against Georgetown.

The champion of today's MSC Tournament advances to the NAIA Qualifying Tournament, also to be held at Georgetown's Lackey Tennis Center on Friday, April 30.

The MSC and Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) tournament champions, along with Ohio Dominican University will make up the field for the qualifying event.

A bye into the finals goes to the highest nationally ranked team among the MSC Champion, KIAC Champion, and Ohio Dominican University, prior to the tournament.

The winner of the NAIA Qualifying Tournament advances to the 59th annual Men's NAIA Tennis National Championship on May 18-22 at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Ala.
