WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. -- Sherria Hester finished 1st in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.05 seconds, while Kristina Wimsatt turned in the top effort in the long jump of 5.39 meters to lead the Lindsey Wilson College women's track & field team to a sixth place finish at the University of the Cumberlands Invitational on Saturday.

The Blue Raiders finished with 57.5 team points, while Cumberlands won the event with 131.5 points. Centre (Ky.) College took second place with 128 points and Campbellsville (Ky.) University rounded out the top three with 91 points.

Other top performances for Lindsey Wilson were Hester's second-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.74 and Wimsatt with a second-place showing in the 100-meter dash (12.79 seconds) and javelin throw (32.93 meters).

Elizabeth Amponsah finished in the top three of the shot put competition with a throw of 10.18 meters to take third place. Anna Sundean finished sixth in the javelin throw with a heave of 24.84 meters.

Omni Morgan crossed the line in seventh place in the 100-meter dash (13.38 seconds), while Alicia Mattingly finished eighth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2 minutes and 36.92 seconds. Monicah Maiyo trailed in 10th place with a time of 2:37.86.

Nicole Furnish recorded a time of 20:53.93 to take 10th place in the 5,000-meter run.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 3 p.m. CT on April 16 at the Eastern Kentucky University Open in Richmond, Ky.
