GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- For the second straight tournament, the Lindsey Wilson College women's golf team sits in third place following the opening round.

The Blue Raiders shot a season-high 327 in the Bluegrass Spring Classic's opening round. Lindsey Wilson trails University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) by six and Campbellsville (Ky.) University by two shots at Cherry Blossom Golf Club.

Lindsey Wilson senior Krista Burton was the lone Blue Raider to break 80 in the opening round. Burton shot 78 (36-42) and is tied for second four shot back of Cumberlands' Emma Cutmore.

LWC senior Jessica Smith finished with an opening round 81 (40-41) and sits tied for seventh. Sophomore Paola Gonzales is tied for 10th following an 83 (42-41) while junior Chelsey Key's 85 (42-43) is 15th and freshman Kelsey Joslyn's 90 (39-51) is 27th in the 47-woman field.

A trio of Blue Raiders played as individuals in the tournament. Freshman Jennifer MacKinnon's 80 (41-39) is in sixth place overall, while senior Cheslee Stone's 83 (43-40) and freshman Paige Raine's 85 (41-44) are tied for 10th and 15th respectively.

The final round begins at 8 a.m. CT on Tuesday.
