Kristina Wimsatt earned 20 team points in three events for women's track & field at the Centre Invitational.

DANVILLE, Ky. -- Kristina Wimsatt finished with a second-place mark and two third-place showings to lead the Lindsey Wilson College women's track & field team to a fifth-place finish at the Centre (Ky.) College Invitational on Saturday.

Wimsatt placed second in the long jump with an effort of 5.38 meters to earn eight team points and took third place in the high jump (1.45 meters) and 100-meter dash with a time of 13.10 seconds.

Lindsey Wilson earned 40 points overall to finish in the top five out of 12 participating teams. Eastern Kentucky University took first place with 253.5 points, while Centre finished second with 117 points and Bellarmine (Ky.) University rounded out the top three with 112 points.

Sherria Hester added 13 points to the Blue Raider total with a second-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of one minute and 0.84 seconds and fourth-place mark in the 200-meter dash with an effort of 27.06 seconds.

Elizabeth Amponsah rounded out the point earners for Lindsey Wilson in the field with a third-place throw in the shot put of 10.45 meters.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 7:30 a.m. CT on April 10 at the University of the Cumberlands Invitational in Williamsburg, Ky.
