CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College baseball team was swept by eighth ranked Campbellsville (Ky.) University on Friday after dropping a close 5-3 decision in game one and taking a 10-0 loss in game two at Tiger Field.

Shortstop Drew Barrett went a combined 3-for-5 with a run scored, while Max Rhodes went 2-for-4 with two walks, two RBI and a double to lead the Blue Raiders.

Campbellsville pitcher Jared Lunardi threw a no-hitter in the shortened second game as the Tigers needed just five innings to post the mercy-rule win. Lunardi struck out six batters and walked three in 5.0 innings on the mound.

Ian Pick received the win in game one, pitching a complete game with nine strikeouts while allowing three runs on eight hits.

Max Rhodes threw a complete game for Lindsey Wilson in game one, also giving up eight hits, but five earned runs with five strikeouts.

After two scoreless innings, Lindsey Wilson went in front of the Tigers 1-0 in the top of the third. Campbellsville, however, tallied three runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning and added another run in the fourth and fifth innings to seal the win.

The Blue Raiders fought back with a two-run effort in the fifth inning, but it was not enough to overcome the Tiger's scoring spree.

Campbellsville led just 3-0 heading into the fifth inning of game two, but exploded for seven runs to put an end to the game.

Derek Cape received the loss in game two, pitching 4.0 innings with seven earned runs, three walks and a strikeout.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, March 27 for another doubleheader with Campbellsville.
