COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College senior Jessica Weyreuter is the Mid-South Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the second straight award period, the conference announced on Monday.
Weyreuter completed the week with a 5-0 singles record and a 5-1 doubles mark at the Auburn University-Montgomery Spring Invitational to earn the second straight weekly honor.
The Montecarlo, Argentina, native won all five of her singles matches as the No. 2 seed against three ranked opponents. Weyreuter tallied wins against seventh ranked Brenau (Ga.) University, 10th ranked Oklahoma Christian University and 19th ranked Xavier (La.) University.
Weyreuter's lone loss came against top-ranked Auburn-Montgomery at No. 1 doubles.
15th ranked Lindsey Wilson finished the invitational 3-3 to improve to 3-4 overall on the season.
