Lindsey Wilson freshmen James Smith and Andrew Wright finished second and third respectively in the men's D race. Sophomores Tyler Martin and William Wilson added top-10 finishes as the Blue Raiders racked up 33 team points in the race.

In the men's D, Wright added a sixth place finish to his earlier third place finish in the Time Trial. Lindsey Wilson's Zachary Dorsey added a top-10 finish crossing the line in eighth place.
"Our road race was easily the most demanding course that our conference will see this season, but it's perfect preparation for nationals which will be in Wisconsin this year," Grigsby said. "Kip Spaude's win was such an inspiration to the team. He is a senior, his parents had driven down from Wisconsin to see him race, this is his home course, and he won on an attack on the final climb.
"It was as if it was scripted."
On Sunday, the LWC cycling team hosted the Criterium at the Adair County High School. The one kilometer (6/10 of a mile) lap consisted of mostly flat terrain with a few slight hills.
The men's A Criterium consisted of 60 minutes plus an additional two laps over the course. The women's A and men's B was 45 minutes and two laps and the men's C and D and women's B/C was 30 minutes and two laps.

In the men's D race, Lindsey Wilson place three riders in the top-10 led by Smith's third place finish. Freshman Taylor Ladd added a sixth place finish and Dorsey crossed in ninth place.
"Our four top-10 finishes in the men's A Criterium was just phenomenal," Grigsby said. "The men's B race for me was the most exciting race of the day as our team was the animators the whole race, controlling almost every move and getting a third, sixth, and ninth, something we never seen last year in the B races."
"I'm incredibly proud of our student-athletes for another great weekend of racing. But perhaps the biggest stars of the weekend were the gracious people in Columbia and Adair County," Grigsby said. "This community did more than just open its arms to our program, our home race, and the visiting cyclists, it out and welcomed our event and our visitors with open hearts and kind words of praise and encouragement. Purdy Church, Kelleyville Church and Adair County High School as well as our wonderful volunteers who manned corners on the road, and the courteous and patient people traveling through our community were simply terrific.
