Women's basketball opens play in the Mid-South Conference Tournament today against the University of Rio Grande.

FRANKFORT, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball team opens postseason play today against the University of Rio Grande (Ohio) in the Mid-South Conference Tournament at the Frankfort Civic Center.

The Blue Raiders and Redstorm split the regular-season series with each team earning a win on its home court.

Rio Grande connected on 15-of-25 3-point attempts to beat Lindsey Wilson 79-67 on Jan. 14 in Rio Grande, Ohio. Leah Kendro paced the Redstorm with 23 points and six rebounds, including a 5-of-9 performance from behind the arc. Joining Kendro in double figures was Jenna Smith and Bre Davis with 20 and 15 points, respectively.

Lindsey Wilson outscored the Rio Grande 51-13 off the bench to push past the Redstorm for a 91-69 win on Feb. 11 at Biggers Sports Center. At the time, it was the Blue Raiders fourth straight win. Sierra Rambert led the way, scoring 19 points off the bench, while fellow reserve Kasey Litzinger added 18 points on 4-for-7 shooting from 3-point range.

The winner of today's game advances to the semifinals at 2 p.m. CT on Friday to face the winner of No. 1-seed Campbellsville (Ky.) University and No. 8-seed West Virginia University Institute of Technology.
