BEREA, Ky. - Freshman Kevin Rono set the pace for the Lindsey Wilson College men's cross country team at the Berea College Invitational Saturday, finishing in 28 minutes and 46.83 seconds to take 11th place.
The Blue Raiders entered their second straight event without participating in the team competition due to injuries limiting the roster.
Freshman Jordan Green joined Rono in the top 25 with a time of 30:17.10 for 22nd place.
Also running for Lindsey Wilson was sophomore John Anderson in 40th place with a time of 31:42.07 and newcomer Charles Martin in 47th place with a showing of 33:33.12.
Georgetown University's Luke Garnett won the race with a time of 27:27.25.
The Blue Raiders return to action at 8:30 a.m. CT on Oct. 3 at the Greater Louisville Classic in Louisville, Ky.
