Lindsey Wilson Wrestling captured runner-up status at the NAIA National Championships – the program’s best-ever finish. Lindsey Wilson racked up 74.5 total team points to finish behind only Grand View. Four Lindsey Wilson wrestlers claimed All-American honors during the tournament by placing in the top eight of their respective weight classes. Cam Tessari and Rhodes Bell both claimed runner-up honors after falling in the finals at 157 and 174 pounds, respectively. Daniel Leonard turned in the best finish of his career – placing third at 149 pounds. Matt Walker earned a fifth-place finish at 184 pounds.
Lindsey Wilson won its first-ever cheerleading championship, finishing the event with 80.6 team points. The Blue Raiders edged out second-place Georgetown by .74 points. Four Lindsey Wilson competitors received All-MSC First Team honors following the event, including First Team selections for Megan Aubin and Gabby Pyles.
Women’s Basketball upset No. 2-ranked Westmont 63-59 in the NAIA National Tournament second round to earn the Blue Raiders’ first trip to the national quarterfinals. Lindsey Wilson outscored the Warriors 24-14 in the fourth quarter while holding Westmont to just 33.8 percent (22-of-65) from the field, including 3-for-18 from beyond the 3-point arc.
